91.5 WCIC History
91.5 WCIC is a broadcast outreach of the Illinois Bible
Institute (IBI), the educational corporation of the Illinois District Council
of the Assemblies of God (IDCAG). IBI offers
Christian radio throughout Illinois,
Western Indiana, and Northwest Missouri
through a network of stations comprising New Life Media.
Our mission is to help people connect with God. All network
programming and activities are offered to encourage people in their journey
toward Christ.
The Radio Department of the Illinois Bible Institute began
in August 1974. 91.1 FM-WIBI, the first station in the New Life Media Network,
signed on in September of 1975 in Carlinville IL.
A second station, 91.7 FM-WBGL, Champaign
began serving east central Illinois
in October 1982. 91.5 WCIC began serving the Pekin/Peoria area in November of 1983.
104.7 FM-WCFL, Morris, joined the network in May of 1994 and 90.1 FM-WTSG,
Carlinville, came on the air in1997. Other simulcast stations include WSCT, Springfield;
WCRT, Terre Haute, Indiana;
WNLD, Decatur; WBMV, Mt. Vernon, and WPRC
Princeton. All are noncommercial and listener-supported.
The Illinois Bible Institute and IDCAG offices are located
at Lake Williamson
Christian Center,
3 miles south of Carlinville on State Route 4.
