The Midwest Food Bank of Peoria will present a gospel concert.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at: Midwest Food Bank, Hoerr's Berean Bookstore Peoria, Hoerr's Berean Bookstore Bloomington, and Bethany Baptist Church. Children 15 under are free, when accompanied by an adult.

All ticket proceeds will benefit the Midwest Food Bank Peoria.

The Midwest Food Bank began in a small barn on the Kieser family farm in McLean County in 2003. Over time it has grown with the help of countless volunteers and donors and has continued to provide food donation at no cost to those served.

With four warehouses, Midwest Food Bank gathers and distributes food to over 200 food pantries and soup kitchens in central Illinois, eastern Iowa, and northeastern Missouri.

People come from all around to listen to steel guitar, banjo, saxophone, drums, guitar, piano, trumpet, accordion and a ventriloquist. All are welcome to attend. Mighty Strong Girls is a movement to begin an accurate portrayal of girls, to begin recognizing all forms of beauty, to reverse growing statistics of self-loathing, to address the effects of negative body image, and to affirm the value of girls with truth. Our vision is to help girls find their identities in Christ because we believe that when they do, it will help them avoid the dangers caused by low self worth. We also know finding their identity in Christ is a key component to healing from the effects of self-loathing behaviors like eating disorders and self harm.
