Minier Christian Church is hosting an Easter Seals Fundraiser. An Easter Seals Walk With Me Team called Luke and Friends will be at the event. Everything at the event is FREE,  but we ask for donations to the cause.

There will be Avantis sandwiches, hot dogs, and more for food. There will be great music from The Howards (Bluegrass) and The Stevill Dan Band (Classic Light Rock). There will be kids activities including the Zoo Lady (face painting), The Glitter Fairy, Unbelievable Balloons, crafts and games! There will also be a Silent Auction including donations from local businesses like Lowes and Michael's Italian Feast. Also donations from celebrities like the DUCK DYNASTY cast (7 autographed items). Fatherless Day Is an annual event celebrated nationwide to honor non-custodial parents who have limited time with their children. The event is celebrated by not-for profit organizations such as Fathers 4 Justice, Illinois Fathers, and many other groups. We promote shared parenting across the country because we believe it is detrimental to a child's well being to have an absent parent in their life.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Peoria will be building its 100th home in East Peoria this July (an exact date is yet to be set). They build homes for working families to purchase. They need to raise $50,000 to complete this home. Habitat is encouraging business support partners to volunteer and fund this project. Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Dunlap is hosting their 2nd annual FREE Clothing Shop. The community is invited to shop for back to school clothing, school supplies, baby items, and more.

You can also enjoy food and drinks, all free of charge. If anyone would like to donate children's clothing, large baby items, or school supplies ahead of time, they may drop off items at the church or call for a pick up.
