A team of 4 are going to Oklahoma this weekend to assist with clean-up, and any other way they can. They are in need of supplies, but more importantly donations so they can purchase the supplies. Athens Christian Church is accepting the donations in their office. Most importantly prayers are needed for the team and also for the victims during this terrible time.

American Cancer Society Cancer Prevention Study 3 (Wed. May 22, 2013 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm)

What if you could make it so just one family never had to hear the words “you have cancer”? The American Cancer Society is recruiting men and women for a landmark research study – Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) – to better understand ways to prevent cancer. Individuals may participate if they are between the ages of 30 and 65 years old, have never been diagnosed with cancer, and are willing to make a long-term commitment to the study (which involves completing follow-up surveys periodically over the next 20-30 years).
