Below, you'll be walked through the process of submitting an event to be promoted in the Springfield area on-air, but please also post it to the calendar here.
On-air Exposure for Your Event
As you can imagine, WCIC gets a lot of requests to promote things on the air, so the station has to be pretty selective. Here's what we look at in determining if it's something we can air:
Is it Unique?
Is it an event that is unique to the area? It doesn't happen weekly or monthly at most churches, and the scope of it is regional.
Will it Appeal to WCIC Listeners?
If it's a concert, is it an artist played on WCIC? If it's a speaker, is it someone who is a national speaker or author?
Availability
Space is limited, unfortunately, so the earlier the notice of an event, the better. The station needs a minimum of 4-6 weeks' notice before your event.
