Outfits for Orphans
Cat from "Scott & Cat in the Afternoon" will be leading a team of WCIC listeners to China in September. They'll be serving at Maria's Big House of Hope, a medical care center for orphans with special needs.
If you're not going on the trip, there's still a special way you can get involved!
Each team member will take an extra suitcase filled with much-needed clothing for the kids... including sleepers, pajamas, and play-wear.
You can drop off a new item of clothing (no used clothes, please) at the WCIC studios on Baring Trace in Peoria or at one of Cat's "Outfits for Orphans Suitcase Stops" between 3:30 and 5:30pm:
- Thursday, July 17th at Bremer's Jewelry (105 Krispy Kreme Dr.) in Bloomington
- Thursday, July 24th at Avanti's (3610 Kelly Ave.) in Pekin
- Thursday, July 31st at Bob Evans (3050 Stevenson Dr.) in Springfield
Sizes needed range from newborn to 3T.
And if shopping isn’t your thing, no worries. WCIC is also collecting donations to pay for the baggage fees. (The fees are $100/suitcase.)
