Bloomington/Normal Leadership Refresh

Bloomington/Normal Leadership Refresh

Date: Fri. Feb 28, 2014 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Duration: 3 Hours
Event Street Address: Second Presbyterian Church, 313 North East St. Bloomington, IL 61701
Event Info Phone: 309-531-3485

Leadership Refresh is designed specifically for women leaders, teachers, artists, counselors, intercessors, and the like; basically, any woman that is investing a good part of her life equipping or ministering to others. Participants may be a church staff member, a lay leader, have their own ministry, or work at a not-for-profit in the area. Many of these women serve others tirelessly and have few opportunities to stop and be on the receiving end. If this describes you, please join other area women leaders for a "time out" to be refreshed, encouraged, strengthened, comforted, and honored. This event will include a time to rest in the love of our God, talk with each other, take in some encouraging teaching, receive prayer, and worship together in unity.

There will be two identical three-hour events held on February 28th and March 1st at Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington. Please choose one. The February 28th evening event will include a light plate, and the March 1st morning event will include breakfast. Seats are limited. Register early at the Web site listed above to ensure a seat.

Women from all streams of the body of Christ are welcome. Come alone or come with your ministry team. Our hope is that these activities will build more relationships and unity across the body of Christ. To that end, unless you request to be seated together with others that you know or work with, we will intentionally seat you with women from other churches or ministries. If you have special requests, please include those in your registration comments, as we may not be able to accommodate last-minute changes to the seating arrangements.

The Bloomington-Normal Leadership Refresh oversight team is also working on two other things that will be further discussed at the event: 1) One-on-one and small group offerings designed especially for leaders to be offered at the Broadview Mansion/Immanuel Bible Foundation in the months following the event; and 2) Identification of gaps in social justice or social/spiritual services in the B-N community, with an emphasis on the needs of women and a plan to close those gaps. So, if you can't make the event, please sign up for our mailing list, and we will keep you posted so you can be involved.

Lastly, if you are not currently a leader but feel God is calling you into equipping and ministering to others OR if you are a leader and are looking for a new challenge, please join our local team to help make all of the above happen. You will not only have an opportunity to serve other women leaders and our community, but there will be special leadership development and mentoring opportunities designed just for you. If this is you, please email subaker@leadershiprefresh.org and say, "I want to join the B-N leadership refresh team!" and you will be invited to our next meeting.
