This 13-week Christ-centered program includes three main parts--video, group discussion, and personal Bible study meeting on Monday evenings. Lead by facilitators who have undergone divorce and understand how you feel.

 

The videos feature teaching from over 50 leading Christian counselors, teachers, and pastors who speak on topics important to people in separation or divorce. The videos also contain real-life stories of people who've been through a marital breakup, as they share their pain, challenges, and path to healing.

 

Pre-registration is strongly recommended via phone or email.

 

Babysitting is by prior arrangement. A fee may be involved. There is no fee charged to attend DivorceCare.

DivorceCare can help you deal with the painful issues of divorce and separation. This weekly support group is conducted by people who understand what you are experiencing. Healing Choices is a faith based recovery program similar to AA and Al-anon whereas there will be a 12-step program outline and small group support. Where Healing Choices differs from the traditional recovery program is its focus is on Jesus Christ as the One true Healer. If you are traveling down a road of pain and confusion due to an addiction or life controlling behavior, or if you love someone who struggles and you just don't know what to do, please take this opportunity to learn through Christ how life can be different.

 

Will meet every Wednesday at Glad Tidings Church. Nursery and classes for children of all ages are available. If you have any questions, please contact the ministry leaders - Jimmy or Nicole Howard.

From mourning to joy: don’t grieve alone. GriefShare is a weekly support group for people grieving the death of someone close. Video lessons combined with group discussions help provide encouragement, hope, support, and healing during one of life’s most difficult experiences.

 

Northwoods Community Church will host this 13 week support group.

$25 one time cost that will go towards the workbook used throughout the 13 weeks.

"Parenting Together" provides parents with an open and safe place to gather and discuss issues that plague parents and their children. Our group discussions will be based off Biblical principles; examples will be used to provide solutions to help families succeed in life. On the first Monday of each month, First Baptist Church in Pekin is host to an autism parent/family support group from 6:00- 7:00 p.m. This is a great place for parents, guardians, grandparents and other family members to learn and share about raising a child on the spectrum. There are light refreshments served at each meeting. Childcare is provided. The event if free. All families with a child on the autism spectrum are invited to attend. An RSVP is not mandatory but, it does help us plan for childcare if you are bring your kids. Siblings are welcome to come.
