The Sunnyland Christian Church is hosting a Red Letter Road Concert. Red Letter Road is a Contemporty Christian group from the Washington, Il area. The concert is open to the public. There is no charge for admission. However, a free will offering will be taken to support Washington Weekend Snackpac, a newly formed group of Washington churches who have joined forces to provide a free sack of food items to children who may not have access to an adequate amount of food on the weekends.

 

Come and enjoy the concert and come to support school children in need.

The Great Romance (Matt Vollmar) in memory of Silas Martin (Decatur youth - well known for speaking about his faith as he faced death from brain tumors - passed 12/23/14). At Decatur Civic Center - downtown Decatur, Illinois. A portion of ticket sales goes to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to raise funds to find a cure for pediatric cancer - Silas chose this organization before he died.

We will have community unity presenting a free concert at the Canton Friendship Festival with "About A Mile" and "Sidewalk Prophets". There will be food, rides, games and amazing music. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket as seating is limited.

Come out to our Monthly Jam Session on the 3rd Friday of every month. People come from all around to listen to steel guitar, banjo, saxophone, drums, guitar, piano, trumpet and a ventriloquist. All are welcome to attend. Snacks are provided after the service. A free-will offering will be taken for Missions. Giving is not a requirement. The church is set up to walk right in; there are no stairs, so we welcome all handicap or elderly people to please attend.

For years Sam Moore was best known for lending his unmistakable stand out lead vocals to the Grammy winning, Memphis based Stax Records, soul duo “Sam & Dave”TM. Songs like "Hold On I'm Coming," "I Thank You," "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby," "Soul Sister," and the duo's monster hit "Soul Man" catapulted them up both the Pop and R&B Charts selling more than 10 million records worldwide.
