"A New Pair of Shoes" Stage play (Fri. Apr 22, 2016 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm)

I.G.N.I.T.E. Entertainment presents "A New Pair of Shoes."

 

Plot: A single mother of 3, Angela is trying to raise her children and maintain her life while facing the pain of her past. After the father of her child drops the kids off to her at work, Angela's life spirals out of control even more with DCFS showing up at her door. Her sister, Stacy, tries to show Angela a better way, and her best friend, Trisha, tries to offer advice, but all Angela can seem to think about is purchasing a new pair of shoes. You won't want to miss this show full of surprises and excitement.

 

In celebration of Latonya Nash's - founder of I.G.N.I.T.E. Entertainment - birthday! 

 

Doors open at 6 p.m. with the play starting at 7. Early arrival is suggested.

It’s “Big Band” meets “Big Chorale” as the fabulous voices of the Peoria Area Civic Chorale and the exciting sounds of the Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra combine to perform some of the greatest all-time swing era songs such as I’ve Got a Gal in Kalamazoo, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Blue Moon, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Moonlight Serenade, Satin Doll and many others. Walk down memory lane with the music that had everyone doing the Jitterbug, the Lindy Hop and the Shim Sham.

 

Bring the entire family to the Performing Arts Center at Five Points Washington on Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7 at 7:30 PM or on Sunday, May 8 at 3:00 PM and experience two hours of “happy music” performed by two of Central Illinois’ premier ensembles. Becoming the Beautiful You (Sat. May 7, 2016 11:00 am - 4:00 pm)

The 3rd Annual YouNite an Evening for the Ladies has expanded and is now “Becoming the Beautiful You."

 

Becoming the Beautiful You is a day of healthy pampering for ladies. We are inviting our favorite local businesses to bring to you all of the good-for-you indulgences in the area! There will be treatments to help you relax, pampering, presentations, prizes, and much more! Each attendee will receive a Becoming the Beautiful You bag. By attending exhibitor booths, attendees will be entered into our raffle to win one of many exciting prizes!

 

Tickets for this event are $10 at the door or free if picked up prior to the event at Kabir Center For Health, 2412 E Washington St. Suite 9, Bloomington, IL.

 

This event is designed to inspire beauty, empower women, and provide healthy tools to become the beautiful you that you were created to be.
