The culture around us is constantly changing, and successive changes are often accompanied by significant challenges. So how does the call of Christ compel us to respond to these challenges? How does a Christian respond to the rapid rise of so-called same-sex marriage and the increasing acceptance of homosexuality? How does a Christian live in a world of rampant pornography, a world where babies are aborted and widows are abandoned? How does a Christian think in a culture of pervasive racial prejudice and limited religious liberty? What does a Christian do in a church that exalts prosperity amidst a world of extreme poverty?

Secret Church explores biblical foundations for answers to these questions and comes to significant conclusions regarding Christ's call on every Christian to engage culture with a firm grip on the gospel in the church and a fervent passion for God’s glory in the world.'

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the simulcast begins at 6:00 p.m. It is scheduled to end at midnight. The simulcast will feature Bible teaching led by David Platt, musical worship, and prayer focused on the persecuted church.

Joanne Colderwood invites you to the Self-Propelled Advantage Family Conference.

Joanne will help you discover how to raise independent, motivated kids who work with excellence! Raising extraordinary children is never an easy thing. For some reason, no complete User Manual accompanies the birth of your child. Becoming a family unit is not a simple matter either. Family units sometimes change and fluctuate, and each family is unique. This uniqueness is respected as a foundational concept of the Self-Propelled Advantage Family Conference.

Here are just a few of the questions Joanne will answer: What are the three elements that work together to give children an ultimate advantage in life, that give them an edge, and make them extraordinary! Is it genetics? Upbringing? How can parents motivate their children to work with excellence? What impact does parenting have on a child's educational success? How does self-learning prepare students well for the SAT and the ACT? What curriculum is best for developing self-learning and mastery? What kinds of expectations should be set with young children that will bring out the best in them as young adults? Should students focus on their strengths or weaknesses in high school? Is there some sort of system for teaching kids to teach themselves? What is the one thing that holds home-educated students back more than anything else? What do the Calderwood kids think about their rather unconventional educational upbringing?

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the website above.
