“Have U Herd?” Vacation Bible School will be held Monday, June 9th – Friday, June 13th at Southside Church from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Children ages four through the completion of 12th grade are invited to Southside Church’s Friendly Farm to learn how to hear, recognize, and respond to God’s voice.

Registration will be held from 5:30–5:45 p.m. each evening. Those who pre-register by Friday, May 30th will be entered into a drawing for a cash prize. The registered child must attend a minimum of three nights to qualify for the prize, which will be given away during Friday night’s Closing Celebration. Children with perfect attendance will be entered into a drawing for a cash prize. To pre-register or for more information, contact Carrie (217.556.4308), Aimee (217.246.6438), Shannon (217.313.0342), or e-mail southsidech@consolidated.net. When you call to pre-register, we will need to know your child’s name, age, and last grade completed. Additional information will be required at the time of registration.

Children will be divided into five different groups: Pre-K (Chicks), Kindergarten and 1st grade (Lambs), 2nd and 3rd grade (Piglets), 4th and 5th grade (Calves), and 6th-12th grade (Colts). Children will gather at the “Homestead” after registration to learn fun, interactive songs and to take up an offering to support local missions projects (Litchfield Food Pantry and Education Station free school supplies distribution). At the “Bible Barn”, they will learn how to listen for and respond to God’s voice through various Bible lessons. At the “Chicken Coop”, children will construct a craft each evening that corresponds with the night’s Bible lesson. Fun games and activities will be provided on the “Green Acres” and yummy snacks will be shared at the “Feeding Trough”. At the end of each night, parents will need to pick up their children at the designated location that will be provided during registration.

Children are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items each night that will be donated to the Litchfield Food Pantry at the end of the week. A monetary offering will be taken nightly to fund Education Station free school supplies distribution at Southside Church later in the summer. Friends and family members are invited to a Closing Celebration on Friday, June 13th at 7 p.m.

Our farmhands are looking forward to seeing you for a rootin’ tootin’ good time down on the farm!
