June 14th with a rain date of the 21st, San Jose United Methodist Church will be hosting a Ride/Drive to Chaddock School in Quincy, IL.

The mission chair Lynn Albers is coordinating this event, with help from the Rushville and Camp Point United Methodist Churches for the use of their facilities. Information may be found on the church’s website. If you do not ride a motorcycle that’s ok, they came up with the “slash” Drive so everyone may participate.

This will be 110 miles of fun.

Pre-registration is required so lunches may be ordered for participants.

The Ride /Drive will begin in San Jose at the San Jose United Methodist Church with check-in and line up at 8:00 a.m. with departure promptly at 9:00 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be served after you have checked in. The first stop will be at approximately 10:15 a.m. in Rushville, IL at the United Methodist Church with a short break to stretch and visit with drinks provided. The second stop will be approximately 11:30 a.m. in Camp Point, IL at the Methodist Church. Here participants will eat lunch and a free-will offering for the Chaddock School will be collected. They will arrive in Quincy, IL at the Chaddock School at approximately 1:15 p.m. for a presentation and tour of the school and grounds.

If you are unable or do not wish to begin in San Jose, you may join the group at either Rushville or Camp Point, but you will still NEED to pre-register.

Everyone will be on their own to return. Anyone wishing to tour “Windsong Acres” is welcome after the Chaddock tour. Visit Jeff & Shelly Rasche’s website at www.windsongacres.org for information.

The Ride / Drive is a mission project to help support the building of a new school for Chaddock. Chaddock is starting to raise funds for a new school. This will be a fun and exciting way to spend a Saturday with friends. More information may be obtained by contacting the San Jose United Methodist Church.
