September 26th marks three years since Pastor Saeed Abedini has been imprisoned in the notorious Evin and Rajaei Shahr prison inside Iran because of his Christian Faith.

 

Please come, and gather with us as we join together with local churches and believers across the world to pray for the release of Pastor Saeed.

Event will be held at Tipton Park north shelter on Constitution trail in Bloomington. The 3 mile walk is to raise awareness and money for the Illinois Spina Bifida Association, which provides support, educational events, scholarships, resources for individuals with spina bifida. The day will include registration at noon, followed by the walk, lunch and games for kids. Registered participants will receive an event t-shirt. At Teen Challenge, we strive to evangelize and disciple men who have life-controlling problems.

 

The theme of this year's fundraising banquet is "The Power of Change."

 

The guest speaker is Indianapolis Colts Chaplin Rev. Ken Johnson.

 

The Pops Swing Band will perform, along with soloist, Teen Challenge graduate, and recording artist, Rodney Morss.

 

Tickets are $35 each, and a table of ten is $350.

Wildcat Run: Springfield Christian School 5th Annual 5K Run/Walk and Kids' Fun Run (Sat. Oct 3, 2015 8:00 am)

This race includes a short run through the woods on a foot trail. We will begin in the school parking lot, run through the woods on a wood-chipped trail, travel north on the Sangamon Valley Trail toward Stuart Park and back.

 

$25 registration fee Register by September 25 to guarantee t-shirt. After September 25 t-shirts are available while supplies last.

 

Online registration deadline is Sept 30th.

Paper registrations can be downloaded from the school's website and postmarked by Oct. 1st.

Registrations will also be taken at packet pickup and until 7:30 a.m. on race day (t-shirts are not guaranteed after Sept. 26).

 

Prizes awarded in the following categories: Top 3 Male Finishers & Top 3 Female Finishers 18 & over; Top Male & Female 17 and under.

Join with friends of Beerlahai Roi and walk with us at the "Hike for Babies" set for 10 a.m. at the west-end shelter of Lincoln Park in Springfield. Your support will make a difference in the lives of homeless pregnant women who need a hand extended in this transitional time in their lives.

Walking to Stop Diabetes. It’s our tradition! Leave a lasting footprint in 2015!

 

The American Diabetes Association will host its annual Capital City Step Out Walk. The walk is focused on raising awareness to those individuals living with or family members affected by diabetes. Step Out is the American Diabetes Association national walk that has been taking place for over 20 years and raised more than $200,000,000 nationally to STOP Diabetes. Today, there an estimated 30 million people living with diabetes in the United States. The Capital City Step Out Walk to STOP Diabetes is scheduled for October 10th 2015 in Washington Park, Springfield. The event will help raise awareness and financial support to be used directly in central Illinois.

 

The American Diabetes Association is leading the fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes and fighting for those affected by diabetes. The Association funds research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes; delivers services to hundreds of communities; provides objective and credible information; and gives voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. Founded in 1940, the Association’s mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
