First Christian Church is holding its second annual Winter Vendor's Fair.

 

Please come out and have a fun morning filled with shopping and talking with each vendor in one warm place. The vendors include Pink Zebra, Paparazzi, Lu La Roe, Thirty One, Posh, Longeberger, and many more. All sales will go to the vendor.

 

The table fees collected go to the the 19th annual block party that is held each August to give school supplies to our west side neighbors.

The legendary classic rock band Head East has long set the standard for authentic, full-vocal, goodtime rock harmonies that few bands can equal. Bask in the beauty of Beethoven through his exuberant Prometheus Overture and lyrical Violin Concerto featuring the brilliantly expressive playing of Dutch violinist Simone Lamsma.

 

The heroic and charming Second Symphony of Sibelius concludes this uplifting evening. Meet guest conductor Ken Lam before the concert at Concert Comments at 6:30 PM in the Sangamon Auditorium.

 

Ticket prices range from $60 down to $5. Senior rates are also available.

 

There will be a post-concert reception in the lobby. Mingle, munch, and sip with guest conductor Ken Lam, ISO musicians, and other music enthusiasts.

The United Marriage Encounter Weekend combines practical methods, sound psychology, and Christian values to improve communication between husband and wife.

The weekend is presented in a conference-type setting with approximately 30 couples. After initial introductions, no other group sharing is required. You’re given plenty of one-to-one time as a couple to share with each other, trying out the communication tools and ideas presented. It’s an opportunity to learn new ways to communicate and also to connect deeply or even re-connect with your spouse on an emotional and spiritual level.

The Vine Conference is a weekend retreat to engage and challenge high school students (grades 9-12) to own their faith and to draw deeper into the Word.

Students can expect to leave on Saturday feeling challenged, encouraged, and spurred on in their faith.

 

The Vine Conference is also a great opportunity to get a taste of college life. Conference attendees will stay in the dorms, interact with current LCU students, and spend time with the LCU professors who will be teaching breakout sessions.

 

The Vine Conference 2017 is scheduled for March 31-April 1 on the campus of Lincoln Christian University (LCU). It’s open to all students grades 9-12 who want to learn about the Gospel message and have a blast doing it.
