One of the most frustrating things to experience is when you feel like someone is not listening to you. Or worse, they say they are listening, but their attention is somewhere else. Cue: a big sigh, and some comment about what’s the point of even talking.
Why is it so hard to really listen? Like totally-ignore-the-buzzing-in-your-pocket kind of listening? It requires patience. Concentration. And a deep interest in someone else besides yourself. In this episode, Joe and I share our struggles with listening well and how God has helped us improve this area of our marriage.
