You hear a lot about leading, but following can be a good thing, too!

I went canoeing the other day and, after hacking through ice for about an hour, only made it about 100 feet. Don’t get me wrong, I was still glad to have made it that far, but it was quite a struggle to get there.

Well, shortly after that, a gentleman in a fishing boat set off from the dock and his boat cleared a path all the way down the channel. I ended up following that path and made it a lot further than I would have on my own.

The whole experience reminded me about following God. After all, when we trust Him and serve Him, He will make a good path for us.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Thankful for that! So yeah, following definitely can be a good thing. : )
