What are your favorite Christmas movies? Elf, The Christmas Story and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

Do you have any Christmas traditions that you love? My family puts up the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, then we watch Christmas movies together. We also enjoy getting together with extended family to socialize, eat, play board games, decorate cookies, and play a fun game of Dirty Santa with gifts (the option to keep or steal gifts from others – it’s great fun and usually the eldest members of the family are the naughtiest!)  

When is it truly Christmas for you? Christmas morning truly feels like Christmas to me. We begin in the morning by reading the Bible together or Christ’s birth, then we pray and eat breakfast together. After we open presents, we watch The Nativity together as a family. 

What is your favorite part of the Christmas season? My favorite part of the Christmas Season is taking a deep breath and time out to spend with my family. No work or school, just quality time to laugh, love, and going to Christmas Eve worship together, and of course celebrating the real meaning of Christmas together.  

What is your favorite part of the Christmas story? When the angels announce the birth to the shepherds. The beautiful gift of salvation was first told to what, at the time, was considered the lowest of low. Jesus’s love and redemption is offered to all!
