Remember when we used to shake hands, give fist bumps, attend church with friends? We’re looking forward to doing those things again someday, but right now, things sure are different.
But the WCIC Community has still accomplished meaningful things during this time of uncertainty.
You built a bridge of HOPE for people to connect in prayer through the Prayer Center. You provided a way for pastors to encourage our families and help build up our community of faith right here in Central Illinois. You helped honor and pray for the Class of 2020 through the Graduate Prayer Wall. And you helped everyone stay better connected through virtual events.
Your continued investment is what helps make WCIC happen!
WCIC was right in the middle of the spring fundraiser when the world suddenly changed. I remember staff and volunteers scrambling to make sense of all the school cancellations. I was thrown into an unfamiliar place too, as help was needed on-air with Kira not able to be in the studio due to illness in her family. I found myself stretched out of my comfort zone. But isn’t it amazing how God works? I had no idea that during those hours of serving each afternoon, God was showing station leadership that I was prepared to step into a different role. A role I had been dreaming about for more than 17 years! Even in the midst of developing chaos, God was moving. And even though WCIC fell short during the fundraiser due to that chaos, He is still working.
WCIC is excited to partner with you to make up the difference during a special two-day fundraising event June 4 & 5. Thanks for praying about how you might get involved!
Your continued financial support is making it possible to share the love of Jesus as we come together one song, one conversation, one heart at a time.
