You will be assigned a table number before the event. If you'd like to sit with another couple (or couples) who are attending, please note your request on the form when you register. Or, you may email Jessie with your request, but please do this no later than January 25th. Metamora will have tables of eight; Springfield will have tables of ten. We will do our best to honor all seating requests.
As long as you've registered and received a confirmation email, your name will be on a list at the door. No need to bring anything with you.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and beverages will be available. We will start at 6:30 p.m. Please allow enough time for parking and check in so you can be in your seats at that time.
There will be buffet dinners at both locations. At Metamora Fields, you'll have your choice of pot roast or grilled chicken bruschetta. At The Inn at 835, there will be spinach & cream cheese stuffed chicken breast or sliced sirloin of beef. Please email Jessie ASAP - but no later than January 25th - if you have dietary restrictions or further questions about the meal. We will do our best to accommodate.
Please arrange a sitter for the evening. This is meant to be a special night for just Mom and Dad.
This is a semi-formal event. Most people dress as they would if going to a wedding or nice restaurant. However, there is no dress code, as we want everyone to be comfortable.
The radio station holds the position that the Biblical definition of marriage is a God-ordained union between a man and a woman (see Matthew 19:4,5). The content of the evening will be based on this understanding. It's possible that a same-sex couple could purchase a registration to the Marriage Celebration. Denying participation is something a religious organization cannot legally do. If this should occur, it's our desire to extend a welcome, accepting them as individuals bearing the image of God and treating them with kindness, while at the same time holding firm in what we stand for as an organization.
The evening will begin with a delicious meal, followed by a time of story and song with WCIC artist Josh Wilson and his wife, Becca. Then Kristin and Danny Adams will deliver a message to encourage you in your marriage. The evening will wrap up around 9:00 p.m.
You may call the WCIC office at 309-692-9242 or email Jessie.
