You’re busy. You’re stressed. You have a million things to do and no time to do them, including making dinner. So you reach for a simple recipe. And even though you’re in a rush, you follow the instructions because you want to get it right. If you’ve ever forgotten just ¼ tsp. salt from a batch of chocolate chip cookies, you know what I mean! What should’ve been delicious, ends up a disaster. You gotta follow the recipe!
What if we took this same approach to busyness?
May has become the new December. One glance at my calendar makes my shoulders feel like the Rocky Mountains of Colorado! So many things to do and places to be. Not sure how I’m going to get through it all. Ugg. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a simple recipe for this busy month to help ease a little stress?
Here’s one of my favorites! It’s tried and true. I hope you like it. =)
Recipe for: Peace, from Philippians 4:4-7
From the kitchen of: God
Serves: Everyone
Step One: Rejoice in the Lord – double dose every day, all day
Step Two: Let everyone see your gentleness
Step Three: Remember – The Lord is near
Step Four: Do not be anxious about anything
Step Five: Pray
Step Six: Give thanks
Step Seven: Hand it over to God
Follow the above steps in order. When you do, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.
Enjoy! Janine
