Lyrics

One, two…

How many miles must it take to, breakthrough
And how many hours must we wait though, to hear the truth
How many moments did I trade in, for a fake kiss
How many chances did I forfeit, too afraid to miss

I feel Your thunder pourin’ like rain
Down on the mountains of all my mistakes
Rolling like rivers, running with grace
Into the ocean of Your embrace
Your hand on my side, leading the way
Ten thousand horses couldn’t pull me away
I hear the music Heaven has made
Oh when we’re standing, standing
Face to face
Face to face

How many nights with regret do I swear through
How many lives in the rear view, do I compare too

I feel Your thunder pourin’ like rain
Down on the mountains of all my mistakes
Rolling like rivers, running with grace
Into the ocean of Your embrace
Your hand on my side, leading the way
Ten thousand horses couldn’t pull me away
I hear the music Heaven has made
Oh when we’re standing, standing
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face

Hand on my side, leading the way
Ten thousand horses couldn’t pull me away
I hear the music Heaven has made
Oh when we’re standing, standing
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face
Face to face

About This Song

a few notes from Joe B., Music Director

This is a great vertical song from his newest project "Crazytalk". I love the honesty in this song and believe listeners will relate well to Mat's transparency. Mat asks age-old questions that are still so relevant today. How many opportunities have we lost working so hard to gain and chasing after what turns out to be fake and will never last anyway. But, oh what a sweet resolve that God's grace is bigger than any and all of the mistakes we've made. That realization can be so incredible. And taken further to arrive at this understanding that God doesn't owe us anything, that grace becomes something quite extraordinary. As humans, we're a work in progress (Philippians 1:6) it's a process, but even a small glimpse of that kind of love can be so powerfully magnetic. "Your hand on my side, leading the way Ten thousand horses couldn't pull me away..."
