Lyrics

Hm-mm-mh, mm-mh
Hm-mm-mh

There is no ocean that can’t be parted
There is no mountain that can’t be moved
I know there’s help for the heavy hearted
The weak will find their strength renewed

You just gotta have faith
Mmm, you just gotta have faith

It’s light for the shadows, for all your tomorrows
It’s knowing He’s there through the sun and the rain
It’s when you believe it, before you can see it
And you can walk on ’cause he’s making the way

Just gotta have some faith, faith
You’ve gotta have some faith, faith

Searching for purpose, you know the way then
Praying through so many silent hours
Finding a breath when you feel like fainting
Loving the lover you are right now

You just gotta have faith

It’s light for the shadows, for all your tomorrows
It’s knowing He’s there through the sun and the rain
It’s when you believe it, before you can see it
And you can walk on ’cause he’s making the way

Just gotta have some faith, faith
You gotta have some faith, faith
Oh, you gotta have some faith
Faith, faith
You gotta have some faith, faith

Remember your rescue
Is standing beside you

He’s light for the shadows, he’s hope for tomorrow
He’ll always there through the sun and the rain
You’ve got to believe it, before you can see it
And you can walk on ’cause he’s making the way

Just gotta have some faith, faith
You gotta have some faith, faith
When you don’t see but you believe it anyway
Faith, faith
Faith, faith

Just gotta have some faith

About This Song

a few notes from Joe B., Music Director

Sometimes much easier said than done. But, it's only through true faith that we are able to please God (Hebrews 11:6) and see Him do things beyond what we could even dreamed about. (Ephesians 3:20-21) Our world is so quick to say, "I'll believe it when I see it!" But, the Bible tells us that actually the truth is exactly opposite. "I'll see it when I believe it!" (Matthew 21:22)

You don't have to look very hard or long to find research and studies that confirm power of faith.*
But, not just faith in and of itself, but actively living out faith. Studies continue to find that those who chose and live out their faith regularly are much healthier. And not just physically. In fact, a study in 2015[1] revealed that living in faith can reduce blood pressure, strengthen the immune system, and help stave off some effects of mental illness. This same study found that not having faith was as unhealthy as 40 years of smoking. Faith also increases your chances of living longer. People who chose faith are also more satisfied with their lives and help others get to that place as well. This group of people tend to see quicker healing times. Faith has been found to reduces stress, anxiety, and fear and produces a much deeper experience of joy, even in difficult times.

So, with all this evidence why is it so hard to trust God and have faith? This is greatly determined by our circumstances. But, the Bible tells us to trust God, no matter what. And I'm grateful for songs like this to help encourage our listeners, regardless of what is going on in their lives. I believe this fun song will work its way into the hearts of those who have ears to listen and encourage them to live out their faith.
