Spaghetti Pie

I decided to make one of my husband’s favorite meals for dinner the other night – Spaghetti Pie. The part of making this delicious dish I cherish most is the recipe card. His mom wrote it out for him right before we met in 1994, and I love how she signed the card “Mommy” with her famous smiley face. Brings joy to my heart every time I see it! It made the house smell so good that our cat Misty had to jump up in my son Alex’s chair to try and sneak a bite! Here’s the recipe if you’d ever like to give it a try. It’s simple and yummy!


6 oz spaghetti (cooked and drained)
mix in 2 T. butter
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
2 well-beaten eggs
Brown 1 lb. hamburger with onion – drain

Butter deep dish pie plate – put spaghetti mixture in

Spread 1 c. cottage cheese on top

Top with hamburger

Then top with thick spaghetti sauce

Bake uncovered at 350 for 20 minutes

Remove from oven

Top with Mozzarella cheese

Return to oven and bake until cheese melts
