Hey, it's Brian from Afternoons. This is the part where I'm supposed to write something about myself. Thing is, I don't really like talking about myself so I'll write about how cool God is, instead. Deal?
I'm the guy who did a really good job of pushing God away...and then, realized just how much I need Him. (Alright, I still do it sometimes, but you get what I'm saying, right?) He brought me out of a place I didn't know how to get out of on my own, and made me realize just how good this life can be, in the process. Beauty for ashes.
I'm blessed in ways I don't deserve. Being able to work for WCIC, a ministry that played a role in my story back when I was in that other place in life by providing encouragement when I really needed it, is like a dream come true. It never feels like work and I'm pretty sure that's a good thing! There's a smile on my face every day, here and I'm humbled to be able to be a part of it, and to be a small part of your afternoon.
Speaking of blessings I don't deserve...my wonderful wife, Dana, my sons Carson and Logan, and my stepdaughters Payton and Reese. We have some really good times together. Dinner conversations are things of legend at our house. Dana and I enjoy going on adventures and you'll also find us cheering on the kids at their various sporting events. Love my family!
When it comes to having fun, I like getting outside and doing pretty much anything: tennis, canoeing, photography, hiking, biking, camping, grilling, etc. You name it, let's do it. Oh, and an occasional road trip to the beach is a must.
Thankful for every day I get. God is good!
