Thank you for stepping up!

As a staff, we’ve been reflecting on Galatians 5 to prepare our hearts for what God is doing at WCIC this year.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

As I’ve studied that chapter this year, there has been so much that God has revealed. The good news of the Gospel never gets old: Christ has satisfied the demands of the law. So often, we want to turn it around. We want to be good enough, follow the law, and somehow earn God’s favor.

But Galatians 5 reminds us that Christ already did all of that and has set us free from the law. We’re walking free! And in response to that great gift, we are free to serve each other, with humility and love.  (Galatians 5:13)

At the end of that chapter, Paul challenges us to “keep in step with the Spirit." When we walk free, we’re not just walking aimlessly. We are walking with the Spirit, following His lead, not our own desires. (Galatians 5:25) And as we do that, the fruits of the Spirit become more and more evident in our lives.

I want to thank you for keeping in step with the Spirit, as you followed His leading with your generosity to this ministry. Please know that you are deeply appreciated.

We are so grateful that God chose to work through you. Every single gift is making a huge difference. And lives continue to be impacted as a result of your faithfulness.

If you didn’t have a chance to get involved during the fall fundraiser, it’s not too late! There’s still room for you!
