Why Doesn’t Everyone Shop at ALDI?

I saw this article from Reader’s Digest and was like, “Yes to ALL of this: 12 things you should buy at Aldi!” But, seriously, why stop there?

As I was rolling out the sliding door last week I thought, “Why doesn’t everyone shop here?” My cart was packed with five large, full paper bags, some drinking water, paper towels, a bag of apples, and an XL take-and-bake pizza. For all of this goodness I had paid less than $100. Without coupons. Without deciding to delete things from my list because I knew it would throw me over that dreaded budget. We buy as much as we possibly can from Aldi each week and save so much money that we’re able to get the extras that make us feel spoiled. Hello, pita chips and hummus. Howdy, chips & guac! And, now that they’ve renovated their stores, the experience is so pleasant. I love the cost savings at Aldi. At other stores, even with digital coupons, I’m always deciding to wait on at least one or two items, because I just can’t afford everything.

So…I was wondering…what’s your fav at Aldi these days? I’m loving the red grapes for $0.99 a pound. Or, do you have another fun way you save on groceries? Share, share, share! (Share on Facebook and comment on the post.)

I’m off to find my Aldi quarter. Happy weekend!
