Combat trauma is a serious concern in our country today.

It not only affects the veterans, it can have a negative impact on families and communities.

Combat trauma can manifest itself through issues like anger, anxiety, depression, social withdrawal, and most tragically, suicide. About 22 veterans commit suicide EVERY DAY in the United States. Symptoms are often linked to deep-rooted “soul wounds” related to unresolved grief, distrust of God/self/others, survivor’s guilt, unforgiveness, bitterness, and loss of identity.

REBOOT Combat Recovery is a nonprofit organization that helps combat veterans and their families heal from the moral and spiritual wounds of war.  We accomplish this by facilitating a faith-based 12-week healing course in local communities.

The course, which is not a support group, provides practical tools for service members and families dealing with the after-effects of combat. Participants learn skills that aid in their healing while helping to build community.

We also encourage and welcome spouses and other affected family members to attend, since trauma impacts the entire family.

The REBOOT course is veteran-led and is FREE to participants.

Meetings are held weekly in a safe and private environment.

A hot meal and childcare are provided, all with the purpose of removing barriers to families seeking help.

The course starts with a shared meal from 6:00-6:30 pm, and the meeting is from 6:30-7:30 pm.

A local Springfield MOPS group is about meeting new mothers and being support for each other.

Here at MOPS, we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own cities, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.

There is a teacher at each meeting that watches the children. We hope you'll join us!

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, “Surviving the Holidays” offers practical, actionable strategies for making it through the holiday season. You’ll hear insights from respected Christian counselors, pastors, and psychologists. You’ll receive a Holiday Survival Guide with practical strategies, encouraging words, helpful exercises, Q/As, and journaling ideas for daily survival through the holiday season.

At GriefShare “Surviving the Holidays”, you’ll meet with other grieving people who have an understanding of what you’re going through. They won’t judge you or force you to share, but will accept you where you are and will offer comfort and support.
