Everyone is welcome to attend the Gaston Memorial Scholarship Ceremony!

 

The Gaston Memorial Scholarship Ceremony recognizes high school seniors who have been accepted to attend an accredited college or university and who excel in the areas of leadership, family, and community service. The scholarship was originally established in the name of Robert L. and Gloria M. Gaston, to honor their many contributions to the Bloomington-Normal community.

 

Scholarship applications are being accepted thru June 1, 2017.

The Bookers go to Korea Adoption Fundraiser Dinner and Auction (Fri. Jul 7, 2017 4:30 pm)

The Bookers are currently in the process of adopting a little girl off the special needs waiting list from South Korea.

 

The Pico De Gallo food truck will be catering an event to help them raise funds.

 

They will also be having a bake sale and auction with items donated by local businesses, families and a few celebrities.

 

All proceeds go to their adoption fund at the Eureka Church of Christ.

Join us for Sophia Sunday, an annual fundraiser that benefits Sophia's Kitchen.

 

Sophia's Kitchen, named in memory of Sophia Donald, who died in a car accident just 3 days after her third birthday, feeds more than 500 hungry Peorians each day. In these summer days, the Kitchen will feed close to 700 people each day.

 

Sophia Sunday will include a pulled pork dinner, silent auction baskets, and a bake sale. There will also be a hot dog meal available for children.

 

The meal is $9 per person, and take out orders will be available.

This will be a family-friendly event with activities for both children and adults!

 

We'll have face painting, balloon animals, a DJ, vendor booths, food, a silent auction, and a 50/50 drawing.

 

Our goal is to raise money to help with the creation of the safe haven and to help cover costs for spreading awareness of the anti-bullying campaign through community outreach programs.

Bethesda Pentecostal Church of God in Pekin will be hosting a Family Carnival and Kids' Fun Run.

 

We will have carnival games and concessions available to help raise funds to help send our kids to church camp.

 

The Kids' Fun Run will have 4 different age divisions starting at age 1 and going through age 12.  There will be 1st place trophies awarded in each age division for the ones who gather the most in financial sponsorships and to the ones who come in 1st place at the race. 

 

The Fun Run will be an obstacle course with some fun and surprises along the way.  

 

Race packets can be picked up at the address listed above. Please message the above email address to make pick-up arrangements.

 

The Fun Run will start at 7:00 pm. Award ceremony will immediately follow the last division run.
