National Day of Prayer

You can join millions across the country in praying for our nation and our leaders on Thursday, May 7th.

The theme of this year's National Day of Prayer is "Lord, Hear Our Cry." It's based on I Kings 8:28: “Hear the cry and the prayer that Your servant is praying in Your presence this day.”

Prayer gatherings will be held at noon, unless otherwise noted, at the following locations:

  • Washington: Historic Square
  • Bloomington: Law and Justice Center
  • Galesburg: Covenant Church
  • Princeton: Soldier and Sailor Park
  • Lincoln: Rotunda of the Logan County Courthouse
  • Springfield: Howlett Building Auditorium (Edwards and S 2nd St.)
  • Sterling: Bethel Reformed Church (**Continental Breakfast and Prayer from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.)
  • Sterling: New Life Lutheran Church (**Pancake Breakfast followed by prayers and speakers from 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.)
  • Rock Falls: City of God Church (**Continental Breakfast and Prayer from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.)
  • Dixon: First Baptist Church (**7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)
  • Polo: Crossroads Community Church (**7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)
