So many parts of my journey have prepared me for now! I have always loved words and music and Jesus. I grew up in a family of preachers, writers, painters, and musicians. In college I studied education, drama, and music. My work and volunteer experience have centered around loving people and leading them to Jesus by teaching Sunday School, directing the church choir, serving on worship teams, working with developmentally disabled adults, working in sales, leading a prayer ministry, taking mission trips to Puerto Rico and Israel, and now doing Christian radio.

I am the proud, grateful momma to three awesome, adult kiddos: Alex, Emmy, and Leighann. Alex chose a wonderful wife, Liz, and they have two sweet babies: Perrin and Vin. Yes, I am LaLa (that is what the grandkids call me).

Lots of plot twists in my story. There have been dark chapters with painful disappointments, betrayals, confusion, and heartache. By the grace of God, there’s also been redemption, healing, and real, cell-level JOY. Beginning a radio career at this stage of my life was a plot twist for sure, but a good one! WCIC has an amazing team of genuine, talented, Jesus-loving people. It’s a privilege to collaborate with them.

God’s love for WCIC’s listeners is what inspires me. One of the sweetest parts of my work day is being still, surrendering the on-air shift to God, and asking Him to fill my heart and mouth with words that will bless and encourage each one listening (hopefully with a minimal blooper reel!) Praying for listeners and business support partners is favorite thing #2.

In Psalm 1:3, when speaking about those who follow God’s ways, it says,

They will be standing firm like a flourishing tree, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of their lives. They are never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.

This is my prayer for every area of my life… and especially for my work here at WCIC. I hope to serve from a place of deep-rooted joy, bringing forth good fruit for my good and for God’s glory!
