Fundraising season is here again! And with that season comes those big questions as we ask God to provide for this ministry and when we ask you to support us financially.
Why do we do what we do? Why do we need support? What really matters? Are we making a difference?
Those are all important questions.
I love that WCIC is part of an organization, Northwestern Media, that is so very clear with what our mission is:
We exist to lead people to Christ and nurture believers in their spiritual growth through Christ-centered media.
What a fabulous mission for us to get behind! I am also so honored to serve with a team that is so passionate about this mission and who pursue excellence in all they do. We consider it a privilege to play a small part in what God is doing in Central Illinois.
Now how we execute that mission is where it gets exciting!! We believe that God has placed WCIC here for such a time as this and we want to steward our resources well. We want to develop stronger relationships in the community to impact more lives and see true community transformation. This happens one life at a time!
Because of your partnership, we are able to:
- Help people grow in their relationship with Christ with uplifting on-air content, biblical truths, the Morning Focus Daily Devotional, and so much more!
- Provide daily opportunities to meet Jesus through our Text HOPE to 41224 campaign
- Host events that bring people together, like Coffee & Connect, Summer Fun Days, and our Open House!
- Show love to families with children at our local children’s hospital when you donated thousands of dollars in gift cards!
- Encourage marriages through the Marriage Celebration and the Behind Our Smiles podcast
- Bring the gospel to those who can’t attend regular events through hosting a prison show at Illinois River Correctional Center in Canton.
- Raise awareness and generate support for local ministries that are doing amazing work in our community.
And of course, we love being able to encourage you, celebrate with you, and pray with you. All while playing the music you love! The right song at the right time!
