The event will begin at 6:30pm with weenie roasts, hayrides and caramel dipped apples available (all free). At 7:30, we will put away the food and enjoy the campfire in LSCA's traditional way... a few songs, a few words,  and a prayer. We look forward to seeing you here!

GriefShare is a 13 week Bible-based DVD and discussion series for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one.

 

This support group provides a safe and caring place to meet with others who are on this journey of grief and understand the heartache and questions of loss. The DVD's feature clips from Christian counselors, pastors and other people who offer practical suggestions and reassurance.

A family friendly fun filled event to help raise awareness and support for My Sisters House in Washington, IL. This ministry shows the compassion of Christ through Biblical counseling, safe community, safe shelter, food assistance and adequate clothing to all its guests without partiality. The focus is to individualize relational care providing Counseling/Advocates to assist with the coordination of sustainable resources.

 

The event is a 10k, 5k, 1.5 mile walk, and kids fun run! We would love to see as many there as we can so come along side this organization and help these women and children.

We walk to raise awareness of not only what human trafficking is, but to abolish it locally and globally.

 

The walk is part of the modern abolitionist movement by A21- a Christian/non-profit organization founded by Christine Caine.

 

We will take a stand with our first responders and walk fire house to fire house across the bridge to take a stand that human life is not for sale.

Springfield will be having its second annual Walk for Freedom this year as an extension of A21!

 

The event is an a chance for individuals to come together as a community to raise awareness for human trafficking both globally and locally.

 

This event will consist of a walk approximately 1.5 miles around downtown Springfield beginning at the Lincoln Statue.

 

There will also be additional activities for individuals to engage in should they choose not to walk. People of all ages are welcome to this event, and we encourage you to invite others to join the movement!

The Kids Matter Most Conference will feature NY Times Best-Selling Author George Barna!

 

The event, sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship of Illinois, aims to equip the body of Christ -- pastors, church leaders, children's workers, parents, and even grandparents -- to see that the spiritual formation of our children should be our #1 priority and learn why kids matter most, not only in reaching children for Christ, but also once they come to Christ, that now is the time to pour into them the Biblical foundation, with the intentional purpose of raising our children to be spiritual champions for Christ!

 

George Barna will be giving two 35/40 min talks on:
-Why Kids Matter Most and What Kids Need
-Raising Children To Be Spiritual Champions

 

In between these two talks, there will be a presentation and special offering received for the ministry of CEF of Illinois to go towards our ministry in reaching children for Christ here in Illinois.

 

A dessert reception will follow.
