Watch the Book of Acts come alive through drama, dance, and song!
Acts a City Rising will be performed live by the students of Peoria Cooperative Academy on Thursday, May 15th at 7pm and Friday, May 16th at 2pm and 7pm, at Calvary Baptist Bible Church, 2200 W. Nebraska, in Peoria, Illinois. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
In this engaging, family-friendly adaptation of scripture, an eclectic group of fishermen, Pharisees, and vagabonds risk everything to follow Jesus of Nazareth, and He completely changes their lives. Acts a City Rising gives Biblical characters a face while telling their incredible stories of persevering faith through high-energy dance numbers and over twenty Broadway style songs.
For over twenty-five years Peoria Cooperative Academy has been a homeschool co-op for pre-school through high school students and offers a variety of academic and extra-curricular classes.
