COTA for Jacob’s Hope is hosting a Trivia Night and Silent Auction to raise funds for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of 17 year old Jacob Smith. He was born with a heart defect and has undergone many surgeries right here at OSF. He is currently awaiting a life-saving heart and liver transplant. The event is Saturday, November 8th at Concordia Lutheran School located at 2000 W Glen Ave, Peoria. Doors will open at 1pm with Trivia beginning at 2. In addition to trivia, there will be a silent auction and a bake sale.
There is a $20 entry fee to participate in the trivia event and teams can register online at Jacob’s COTA website, COTA.org/COTAforJacobsHope and clicking on the events tab. You can even pre-bid on auction items there.
Jacob’s journey has been one of immense courage, and faith and our community is coming together to rally around him and his family through this challenging time. All funds raised will go directly to COTA, a registered 501(c)3 charity, to assist with transplant-related expenses.
