Midwest Food Bank in Normal, IL is seeking volunteers to support their growing efforts in addressing food insecurity. Since its founding 21 years ago, the organization now serves over 460 agencies, with a 30% increase in food distribution from 2023 to 2024. To meet the rising demand, they need more volunteers to help distribute over 1.8 million pounds of food each month.
Those interested in volunteering can attend the Volunteer Fair on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to tour the facility, talk with current volunteers, and purchase lunch from a food truck.
Volunteers can also visit Midwest Food Bank of Illinois-Bloomington-Normal – Midwest Food Bank and look for Volunteer opportunities.
