Springfield’s families are invited to warm up with a bowl (or two) at the MomCo’s Pots & Pals Chili Cook Off, a new community event bringing together cooks, neighbors, and plenty of chili. The cook off will take place at Trinity Lutheran Parish Hall at 515 S. MacArthur Blvd on Friday, November 7 at 6pm,
Local chili cooks of all experience levels are invited to compete for both Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice awards, with prizes of $100 each. Guests can sample every entry, vote for their favorites, and enjoy fun side categories like Spiciest Chili and First Pot Emptied.
Tasting admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Cook entries are $25 with a 2-gallon minimum. Donation jars at each pot will be available for full bowls, with proceeds supporting the local MomCo.
