SIU SOM Medical Students are teaming up with the American Cancer Society to lead the 3rd annual Relay for Life – Springfield. Relay for Life is an event that raises money for cancer research and patient support groups. Participants will meet on 4/12/25 and take turns walking around the track for the duration of the event. Most importantly, Relay is an opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and support those currently battling cancer. In addition to the walk, the event will have food, games, music, and inspirational speakers.
How to get involved:
When you sign up for Relay, you can choose to lead a team, join an existing team, or participate individually. If you choose to make a team, recruit friends and family to join you as you work to fundraise to fight cancer. (Sign up on our website).
