Jeremy Camp comments saying, "This is one of the more personal songs that I've written. I went through this time (about five years ago) of irrational fears where I was worried about everything. I was worried about bad things happening to my kids and having to watch my wife as she suffered through cancer years ago, the enemy tried to use that again. I went through this time of something overwhelming me, my hands started shaking, and I got to the point where I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I had this panic attack and had these weird irrational thoughts.
And finally, I said, 'God what is it?' He spoke to me really clearly; ‘You aren’t trusting me. I love you so much and you aren’t trusting me with your family, your future, and your finances.’ It was a very gracious and compassionate, 'why aren’t you trusting me.' And I said 'God forgive me, I know you love me and I can trust you with my life.' God lifted that fear, worry, and anxiety out of my life. And from that point on, God has restored so much trust in my heart for Him. And he was truly the calm for my anxious heart."
