Even Then

We live in a time when anxiety, worry and fear are seemingly at an all-time high. Some of those who struggle say that often it's the lack of control over their circumstances that trigger attacks. Digging deeper into the research we find that many struggle because they believe there is no one to catch them if they fall. In fact, a significant study was done several years ago that found Americans believe they have a lot of "friends." (Many citing friends on social media.) However, when asked how many "friends" they had whom they could turn to in a catastrophic event, a large percentage of those surveyed said they had no one. Most people don't believe they are loved and valued by a God who created them. They have a hard time understanding that He, indeed, can and will catch them when they fall. So many believe they have somehow disqualified themselves from His love and help. I love that this song will speak something different, truth, into our lives.

"Even Then has become a daily prayer for me and for my family. In the past year I’ve seen some of the most exciting things and been a part of Jesus moving in some ways I’ve never seen before. But I know that in Proverbs 28 it says this 'Those who trust in themselves are fools but those who walk and wisdom are kept safe.' I want to wake up and be the kind of person, that no matter how I feel that day, I trust and stand on the Promises of God – promises that say, 'in this world we will have trouble but take heart Jesus has overcome the world.' And if that’s the truth and I’m standing on then I can trust him even then." - Micah Tyler
