"'New Creation' comes from one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible. 2 Corinthians 5:17, 'If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old is gone and the new has come.' That means when we receive Jesus into our lives and follow his teaching, his direction in life as Lord and Savior, it makes us something new and different than what we were before. It doesn't mean we won't have problems and struggles, we've all gone through that the past couple of years with the pandemic, but through those hard times and struggles, it's also taught us some important lessons and reminds us of our great need for our Savior. That's why I sing in the chorus, 'You brought me blessings out of a tragedy. You turn my old song into a symphony, and with your spirit living inside of me, I am a new creation.'
