Lyrics

I can feel the earth slipping from my feet
Got lost chasing dreams that I can’t seem to reach
But You never stopped chasing me
I’ve been hiding from my past
Wasting time ticking fast
Thought I was out of reach
But You never stopped chasing me

You would search the whole world over to find me (to find me)
There’s no place You wouldn’t go
You’re searching high and low
You leave the ninety-nine to lead me home
I can’t outrun Your love
There’s no road that’s long enough
You leave the ninety-nine to lead me home
There’s no place You wouldn’t go
There’s no place You wouldn’t go

I can hear the sound of struggle fade away
When I hear You call my name
And I can finally see
What You see when You look at me
You’re convinced I’m worth it all
Nailed the proof up on the cross
So I can finally see
There’s no place You wouldn’t go
You’re searching high and low
You leave the ninety-nine to lead me home
I can’t outrun Your love
There’s no road that’s long enough
You leave the ninety-nine to lead me home
There’s no place You wouldn’t go
There’s no place You wouldn’t go

You would search the whole world over to find me (to find me)

You would search the whole world over to find me (to find me)

There’s no place You wouldn’t go
You’re searching high and low
You leave the ninety-nine to lead me home
I can’t outrun Your love
There’s no road that’s long enough
You leave the ninety-nine to lead me home
There’s no place You wouldn’t go

You would search the whole world over to find me (to find me)

You would search the whole world over to find me (to find me)

About This Song

a few notes from Joe B., Music Director

From a brand new project, "Brand New Day" coming February 2019. With lyrics inspired and pulled from Luke 15 (also Matthew 18), I believe this song will be a fun source of encouragement. A song that will get stuck in your head and hide in your hearts this simple, yet amazing truth. This truth that we are loved more deeply than we know. That God is our side and pursues us relentlessly.

“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing." - Luke 15:4-5 | "I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." Luke 15:7
