Hi, I’m Tonya Davis. I am a wife, mother, elementary music teacher and a follower of Jesus. My husband, Jeremie, works at Samaritan Ministries and is also a musician playing the drums, guitar and sings tenor. We have been married for 17 years and we share a love of music, theatre and Christ together! We have two boys, C.J. who is 12 and Gabriel who is 10 year olds. They keep us extremely busy with various activities and they also enjoy music, making us quite the musical family!

I graduated from Illinois State University with three certificates in Special Education and taught for 8 years. God then moved me to teach elementary music part-time at a Christian school, where I have been the past five years and I love it! My favorite hobby is to participate in local community theatre with over two decades of dramatic experience. Oh, I guess you assume I’m a rather dramatic person? Well, you are correct! Just ask my family!

I never IMAGINED I would work at a radio station, let alone WCIC, but God works in mysterious ways! I have been a loyal listener for years and absolutely adore the radio personalities and encouraging music. Jill Tracey has been a dear friend of mine for years and she suggested I apply at WCIC for a front office job. After hours of conversation with Dave Brooks, he invited me to train to be the evening radio personality and front office assistant. In my short time at WCIC, I have had the blessing of getting to know each staff member who truly has a heart for God, worship and the surrounding communities. I love serving God through my family, music, work and community. I am so excited to be a part of the WCIC family!

Favorite Song

Oceans by Hillsong Worship. This was on repeat for HOURS while my mother was battling terminal brain cancer last year. This song is not only beautiful but encouraged me to keep going and know that God was in control no matter the circumstances. It was such a comforting song for me during a time of deep grief and sorrow.
